Spa Vilnius Sana at Druskininkai Resort, Druskininkai

Druskininkai is a health resort in the very south of Lithuania. The resort was founded and declared a therapeutic place in 1794 by the King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania Stanislovas Augustas. It is the oldest and the biggest balneological, mud- and climate-therapy health resort in Lithuania operating all year round. The resort is famous for its natural mineral waters rich in sodium, calcium and magnesium chlorides. There are 12 mineral water springs of different mineralization (from the very low to brine) in the surroundings of Druskininkai. Mineral spring water is used for drinking and various balneologic treatments.
